Nevertheless there is in Germany very cumbersome emission regulations. Here is on one hand with a decrease tested by TÜV, the exhaust of the engine itself. On the other hand, the emission characteristics in the corresponding car is checked. That means if we mount an M60 engine from the 5 or 7 series into the E30, there is still a chance to get the registration without an examination of the emission behavior (because of smilarities between aerodynamics, weight, etc between f.e. 5 e34 and e30 series). But if we mount a motor from a complete different car, like the Corvette in this case, the exhaust emissions including effects such as aerodynamics, etc., have to be re-examined. This includes very consuming and expensive (ca. 1250$ EXTRA) tests. However, such a conversion would be a rarity here in Europe (first in Germany i think) and perhaps there is indeed someone who is willing to bear these costs and to trust in such an ls1-conversion. regards, Alex
