Check Control Bmw e30

Hi, 

Could someone please take a picture for the check control connection, it's under the Antenna in the trunk from in the side. I need to recognize the Resistance or the Diode inside it.

Use the wiring diagrams.

You will find them at the top at "quicklinks or directly here: E30 (1983 to 1992 3 Series) Wiring Diagrams (armchair.mb.ca)

 

You will find the pins in the chapter 6216 "active check control" and the individual parts at 63... of different lights.

could not find it, what I need is a picture from the inside the is only one component it looks like a resistor or a diode mine is burned there was a wrong connection.
Normally It's easy to replace it, but I have to know if it's a Resistance or a Diode, that's why I am asking for a picture from inside it. I have to make a Test for my car tomorrow :(

I think I still have a control unit like that and if I can open it non-destructively I'll take a look.

Dear Georg,

thank you, it's not hard to open it you only need a small strait screwdriver you remove the brown sheet and then push the pins it will come out easily

Everything can be opened - with a hammer if necessary.

 

But I also want to close it again

From the color code it looks like a 4.7 ohm resistor

 

That would also fit the circuit, the resistor is only looped into the common ground line for the signaling outputs to the check control

 

The absolute value of the resistance shouldn't be that important, I think it should also work with a wire bridge.
