Hallo!

 

Ich habe eine BMW 1987 325e. Miene name ist James aus America.

 

(I'm from the states, and I haven't spoken any german for almost 6-7 years. Even at that though, I only was taught a couple years in school. Sorry if I sound retarded. I've come to this forum for E30 euro pictures and info, and even maybe brush up on any german I learned so long ago. But I figured I'd share my project.)

Thanks for the welcome and I shall try. My german is horrible at best, but at the same time my english probally isn't that much better. I guess I knew enough german to get me this far, but thats about all.

 

I know a bit about the U.S. models but I know very little about all the other models. I hope to learn a bit more about the E30.

 

I don't have much plans, but right now I'm trying to find the 1987 IS front end for my car so I can keep my diving boards. While updating the look a bit. I'll take all the rust out of my floor pans and I'm going to learn how to paint. Which I hope maybe to start soon after I find a set of fenders and my airdam. Going to stay "schwarz." Also trying to score a black leather sport interior in good condition. But I'll post pictures while I do so, because well they speak to everyone no matter what language I speak.

As is it seems to me, your english is quite good. But I can simply be fooled I guess because I can't write it very well, either. But from a certain point of view, the skills of some of the german members writing german are much poorer

 

So if you've got any questions, me or some of the other guys will translate it for you. But you may of course try in german, if you want to.

I just bought my airdam for $150 USD, shipped to me. I'm excited, I just need couple other parts then I'm on to paint!

As Jens already said: Feel free to write english or german. Best way is probably to use both. We have some experience with that through our american friend Steve :-> Stevie Wonder!

What about European front end for your car? We Germans find the US-front end a bit disturbing, although your new spoiler makes it a bit better!
