I have three of them, but one that is near perfect. I plan on maybe re-painting it to make it look "fresh" again. If I find a "late/airbag model" I'll pick that up just to play with it, see If I like that better.

Also they are out of the rust belt so their E30's look a lot nicer than the ones here in Ohio. lol What does "Hammer" mean? I picked up some new parts for my car and I am looking to rebuild some parts soon too. I have a rear seat with ski pass coming soon So I can make some templates from it. Also I just picked up a steering rack seal kit to fix my leaking rack. I've never done it before but I hope it goes well. UPDATE! I just got my machine up and running, its an old Brother sewing machine I picked up at a local thrift store for 10 USD. I fixed it up for another 14 USD and now it's ready to make some stitches! I figure I can stitch through about four layers of vinyl on a good day. But I just need to go through two, so it's all cool. Any who,... who wants to see FRANKEN-HEADREST??!?! Grab you pitchforks and torches because here is the monster! To me it doesn't matter too much the E30 is a great platform even if the bumper stitcks out a foot or is much streamline. But I guess it goes to show you will want what you can't have. I hear there are not too many fans of the old diving boards our VFL style bumper. What all ahve you added that is more American in style? Maybe I migt be able to help in the future. Well, I got my black thread so I'm going to start sewing up my headrest. I still do not know 100% what I will do, but I will make it up as I go along. :)

Thanks man, I like my plate too, even though only the BMW people get it. I get a lot of weird looks from non-BMW people. Ya I can get different set up for my lights, I don't really like my sealed beams but I figure in the future I will run some of your guys lights. Here they just call them "euro's" and they run for about $200 USD. A lot more than I have to spend at the time. One day I'll have me a nice set up, who knows maybe I'll be able to buy them off of this forum, that be awesome. Also maybe I could sell American stuff, I hear it's much harder for you guys to get your 13 button OBC's. Plus I want one written in German along with the check panel. That be awesome. Yep, I was able to pick up my front air dam. The brackets that it comes with are plastic I'm looking to weld some new ones I hope some time soon to make it a bit more rigid. Once I get that all fixed up I'll be able to throw it on. :) I will still have the ugly American diving boards though. It will just look a bit better. I won't lie I want a M-Tech 1 set up, but it was never sold in the states. Ya the fabric I'm going to use is a black vinyl, which is pretty much rubber, but it has a leather look and feel to it. It's a lot cheaper than a hide of leather. Which makes it perfect to learn on. I hope my headrest comes out looking good. But only time shall tell.

Need to find a cloth sport seat to make a template with. I'm also learning how to do automotve paint. Painting a M3 E36 bumper for a friend. Just laid down the primer sealer hope for some base coat by the weekend also. I put in a 13 button OBC into my car, the total for everything for me was about $10 dollars USD, 13 button OBC, wire harness and turn signal stalk. Plan on doing a LED back light bar soon for it too. Also re-wired all the radio speaker wires with fresh new wire. I think that's about all for now.

Danke. Thanks for the welcome and I shall try. My german is horrible at best, but at the same time my english probally isn't that much better. I guess I knew enough german to get me this far, but thats about all. I know a bit about the U.S. models but I know very little about all the other models. I hope to learn a bit more about the E30. I don't have much plans, but right now I'm trying to find the 1987 IS front end for my car so I can keep my diving boards. While updating the look a bit. I'll take all the rust out of my floor pans and I'm going to learn how to paint. Which I hope maybe to start soon after I find a set of fenders and my airdam. Going to stay "schwarz." Also trying to score a black leather sport interior in good condition. But I'll post pictures while I do so, because well they speak to everyone no matter what language I speak.
