Here in Italy if you want a late 80s car you can find pretty much nothing above 2000cc, we had a tax above that displacement, (that's also the reason for the 320is in Italy), also to ensure and maintain a car here was (is) very expensive..so the only way to have it road legal was to buy it in Germany, an "alles eingetragen car" with a valid TUV After a while searching a 24v swapped E30, I found this in Eisenach, it was not a beauty, but it was solid, and the seller (Jens, very good guy) agreed to help me with all the paperwork for take it to Italy.. I take a plane with a good friend in Bergamo, we fly all over the Germany and landed in Bremen, rent a car till Eisenach, buy the E30, and then we make our road trip back to Italy (Eisenach-Vicenza, about 900km), with a car I've never seen before apart from some photos and some words from the seller :drive:
- Veränderungen The car was a 320i M20, now it's a 325i M50, has a "no name" damper/h&r springs combo, ate powerdiscs with ebc blackstuff pads, 7x15 kreuzspeichen, and some other bits..was originally red, then at some point someone resprayed it estorilblau, and then I bought it and the car was black..
- Geplante Umbauten Too much to write!!!!! granitsilber, klimaanlage, 5lugs, 3.46 LSD, m50b30, m20 flywheel conversion....
